My work addresses the notions of borders, boundaries, and the conditions in which the invisible becomes momentarily apparent. I am interested in drawing out and materializing the previously concealed and unobserved. Utilizing drawing and printmaking as my primary mediums, my work focuses upon a principal question: what exists beyond the visible? I am devoted to the idea that there is more to our world than meets the eye, and I seek to create work which elicits, and actively maintains, the feeling of observing that which was formerly veiled and unseen. I believe upon encountering the unknown, we do not vanish in its immensity, but rather become a part of its appearance.
